At the graduation ceremony, Dr. Le Dac Son, Chairman of the School Board, moved the audience when he decided to forgo his prepared speech and speak from the heart.
Stepping onto the podium and looking down at the auditorium filled with the orange hues of the newly graduated doctors and the tears of joy from their parents, Dr. Le Dac Son said that he had set aside the lengthy, diplomatically formal speech that the organizers had prepared beforehand.
Instead of turning toward the honorary seats reserved for the leaders as is customary, the head of the School Board extended his first and most respectful greeting to the 83 new doctors: "You have all worked hard over the past six years, very hard indeed."

Dr. Le Dac Son presented a certificate of merit and a prize to valedictorian Tran Thi Mai Hang with a GPA of 3.6.
This was followed by a heartfelt expression of gratitude to the parents, who six years ago bravely entrusted their "most precious asset" to a private school that was undertaking the task of training general medical students for the first time.
"Today, on behalf of the school, I would like to return to you, my dear teachers and elders, our grown-up children, who are now fully capable and have become doctors for the school, their families, and the country," Dr. Le Dac Son said emotionally.

Recalling the events of six years ago, Dr. Le Dac Son acknowledged that the decision to train medical professionals was a major challenge. The school had to shoulder a heavy responsibility related to human lives and the future of the nation's healthcare system, while also overcoming considerable skepticism and scrutiny regarding the capacity of a private institution to train doctors.
Addressing the question of why the initial cohort of over 100 students only had 83 graduating this time, Dr. Le Dac Son affirmed: "Medical training is the most demanding field of study. At Dai Nam University, that demanding nature is pushed to the extreme. The fact that only 83 students graduated is not a failure, but proof of the university's unwavering commitment: No compromise on quality."
He emphasized that, because the ultimate goal is human life, the 83 new doctors today are those who have "been tested by fire," passed the strictest screenings, and are fully worthy of wearing the white coat to save lives. Those students who did not pass will continue to train to pass the rigorous exams later.

Youth without perfume, only the smell of disinfectant.
Addressing the students, the Chairman of the School Board expressed deep understanding of the sacrifices made by medical students. While their peers spend their youth dating, traveling, and going on excursions, the youth of medical students is spent sleepless nights in the emergency room, with half-eaten lunchboxes and a smell of disinfectant that is more prevalent than perfume.
Before leaving the school to join hospitals and medical facilities, Dr. Le Dac Son had three pieces of advice for the school's first team of medical doctors.
First, new doctors always have a cool head and a warm heart. The medical field demands a very high degree of precision; even a small mistake can cost a person's life.

"Empathize with the patients, feel their pain, and treat them as if they were your closest loved ones," Mr. Son said.
He wants his students to continue learning throughout their journey of saving lives. Technology is changing very rapidly. AI can now read X-rays more accurately than humans. AI can diagnose better than doctors. But AI cannot replace doctors with their warm hearts to care for patients. Therefore, if doctors do not continue learning throughout their professional careers, he believes they will fall behind.

Finally, Dr. Le Dac Son reminded the new doctors to be grateful to their parents, their school, their teachers, and their colleagues who have taught, guided, and shared with them, enabling them to truly mature today.
