New Year's greetings for the Year of the Horse from the Chairman of the University Council to the staff and lecturers of Dai Nam University.

Dear all faculty, staff, and employees of Dai Nam University,

The Year of the Snake (2025) is drawing to a close. We respectfully send our best wishes for health, peace, and a New Year (Year of the Horse) filled with positive energy to all faculty, staff, and employees of the University and their families.

The past year marked a significant turning point in the development direction of Dai Nam University. We unanimously chose and are gradually implementing the Outcome-Based Education (OBE) model – training based on learning outcomes and the actual competencies of learners. From 2026, OBE will become the strategic axis throughout all training activities of the University in the period 2026–2030.

OBE is not just a technical adjustment to curriculum design. It's a fundamental shift in mindset: from teaching what we have to training students in what they need to live and work effectively in a new context. This is a transition that demands seriousness, discipline, and high responsibility from every level of leadership, every unit, and every faculty member.

We have every right to be proud of what we have built over the past period. These achievements are the foundation for DNU's current position. However, the landscape of higher education is changing rapidly. Without proactive innovation, we risk falling behind and losing the advantage needed for further strong development. Preserving the past and present does not guarantee the future. For sustainable development, we must be courageous enough to change when necessary.

Implementing OBE will inevitably face initial challenges. Any substantive reform requires time, adaptation, and a collaborative spirit. The school's leadership recognizes that the success of OBE lies not in written documents or slogans, but in the level of implementation within each training program, each course, and each class.

Therefore, as we enter the new year, we hope that all faculty, staff, and employees will continue to uphold the spirit of responsibility, proactively learn, cooperate, and innovate. Each of us, in our respective positions, has a role to play in ensuring that Dai Nam University graduates possess practical skills that meet the demands of the labor market and society.

The OBE Strategy 2026-2030 is not just the responsibility of one department, but a shared commitment of the entire system. The unity, discipline, and determination of the team will determine the quality and reputation of the School in this new phase of development.

Once again, we wish all faculty, staff, and their families a happy, prosperous, healthy, and successful New Year.
