TV presenters and MCs from Vietnam Television were surprised by the confidence of the finalists in Speak Up Dai Nam 2026.

The "Journey to Awaken the Warhorse" of Speak Up Dai Nam 2026 has officially concluded, leaving its mark with confident, flexible, and skillful stage performances from the talented contestants. The judging panel – comprised of experienced editors and presenters from Vietnam Television (VTV) – highly appreciated the contestants' qualities, stage presence, and improvisational abilities; and acknowledged that Speak Up Dai Nam is creating a professional platform for students to hone their skills, test their stage presence, and move closer to becoming MCs.


Over 100 students from the northern region participated in the competition.

Speaking at the Finals, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Dao Thi Thu Giang – Rector of Dai Nam University and Head of the Judging Panel, emphasized: "With the educational philosophy 'Education is about illuminating' and the action slogan 'Learn to change,' the University always believes that education is not simply about transmitting knowledge, but also about creating motivation, inspiring, and illuminating the path for each student to discover and explore their own potential. In that spirit, platforms like Speak Up Dai Nam are expected to be opportunities for students to hone their confidence, critical thinking, and communication skills; to confidently speak up, share knowledge, connect emotions, and spread positive values to the community. Through this competition, Dai Nam University also wants to convey to the younger generation the message: 'Dare to try, dare to experience, and dare to discover yourself.'"

Right from the opening of registration for the preliminary round , Speak Up Dai Nam 2026, with the theme "Own The Mic – A Journey to Awaken the Warhorse, " attracted a large number of participants, including over 100 students from various colleges , universities, and academies in the Northern region such as: Dai Nam University, Hanoi University of Science and Technology, National Economics University, Diplomatic Academy, Hanoi University of Culture, Posts and Telecommunications Institute of Technology, University of Commerce, Phenikaa University, Greenwich University, Television College, etc.

Associate Professor Ngo Thi Hong Hanh, M.Sc. – Deputy Head of the Communication Department, stated: “What is noteworthy about Speak Up Dai Nam 2026 is the expansion of the target audience and the quality of the contestants. Besides students from journalism and communication schools, the competition also attracted contestants from many universities in Hanoi and the Northern region, including engineering fields. This shows that the participants are not only pursuing a career as an MC but also want to hone their communication and persuasion skills, develop flexibility, cultivate confidence, and become responsible presenters.”

The Judging Panel for the Speak Up Dai Nam 2026 Final Round includes: Assoc. Prof. Dr. Dao Thi Thu Giang - Rector of Dai Nam University, Head of the Judging Panel; Mr. Le Dac Giang - Director of the Center for Culture and Events, Dai Nam University; PhD Candidate, M.Sc. Ngo Thi Hong Hanh - Deputy Head of the Communication Department, Dai Nam University; Journalist, MC/Editor Nguyen Hoai Dam - Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union, Vietnam Television, Deputy Head of the Judging Panel; MC/Editor Nguyen Thu Ha - Special Programs, Science and Education Department, Vietnam Television; MC/Editor Huu Tri - News and 24h News Department, Vietnam Television.


Representatives from Dai Nam University presented flowers and certificates to the judges from Vietnam Television.

With the guidance of an experienced judging panel, the three stages of the competition—Opening the Race, Breaking Through, and Reaching the Finish Line—became direct "tests" of each contestant's stage presence, hosting skills, content thinking, and adaptability.

In the Breakthrough round, situations arising from the judges require contestants to react and handle situations quickly on stage, thereby clearly demonstrating their ability to maintain the pace and control the situation, and effectively manage the content of their performance.


Despite receiving consistently challenging requests from the judges, contestant Dao Thi Lan Chi calmly and smoothly handled the situation and completed her presentation impressively.

The pressure intensified at the final leg, when judges from Vietnam Television became guests on the talk show of the Top 3 Speak Up Dai Nam 2026 contestants. Questions, responses, and unexpected situations were constantly presented, requiring contestants to flexibly guide the conversation, control their emotions, maintain connection with the guests, and adapt to changes on stage. This clearly demonstrated each contestant's stage presence, improvisational skills, and unique "leading style."


Contestant Ta Vu Dung impressed with his composure and ability to handle challenging situations presented by MC/TV presenter Huu Tri during the talk show segment.


Contestant Dang Mai Hue demonstrated her leadership and networking skills in the Talkshow segment with MC/Editor Nguyen Thu Ha.


Contestant Luu Thi Phuong Thao displayed confident hosting skills and flexible coordination during the Talkshow segment with journalist, MC/Editor Nguyen Hoai Dam.

Impressed by their ability to command the stage and assert their unique identity.

Facing the challenges set for them in the Final, the Top 10 contestants of Speak Up Dai Nam 2026 demonstrated serious preparation, confident demeanor, stage presence, and the ability to connect with the audience; thereby affirming their unique qualities in each performance.

Journalist, MC/TV presenter Nguyen Hoai Dam commented that the contestants of Speak Up Dai Nam 2026 clearly demonstrated their individual styles and serious passion for the MC profession. Many contestants showed good hosting skills and talent in various genres and styles.

MC/TV presenter Nguyen Thu Ha emphasized: “ The contestants participating in Speak Up Dai Nam 2026 have quite good professional skills compared to the general standard of MC competitions in Hanoi . They showed clear stage awareness, conveyed the spirit of their performances, knew how to interact and connect with the audience, and maintained a relatively stable flow of the presentation. In unexpected situations, although they couldn't handle them as perfectly as seasoned MCs, they still showed effort, adaptability, and the confidence of young people just starting their professional journey. I highly appreciate the overall quality and level of performance of this year's contestants.”


MC/TV presenter Nguyen Thu Ha was impressed with the contestants' ability to handle situations and command the stage in Speak Up Dai Nam 2026.


Contestant Ta Vu Dung from the Faculty of Communication, Dai Nam University, has officially become the champion of the Speak Up Dai Nam 2026 hosting competition.


The runner-up in Speak Up Dai Nam 2026 is contestant Dang Mai Hue from the Communication Faculty of Dai Nam University.

 

The third prize was awarded to contestant Luu Thi Phuong Thao from the University of Commerce.

The Promising Candidate Award went to Dao Thi Lan Chi - Faculty of Communication, Dai Nam University.


The Most Popular Pair Award was given to contestants Pham Khanh Bang from the National Economics University and Hoang Thi Thanh Thuy from Dai Nam University.


The Organizing Committee acknowledges the efforts of the Top 30 outstanding contestants at Speak Up Dai Nam 2026.

Winner Ta Vu Dung expressed: “The moment I heard my name called out as the champion, I was truly moved and overwhelmed. Looking back on the journey from the preliminary round to the final, I feel more confident, more capable, and much more mature. Thank you to the Faculty of Communication at Dai Nam University for creating a professional platform for young people passionate about hosting like me to gain experience, learn, and have more motivation to pursue their passion.”

The more than two-month journey of Speak Up Dai Nam 2026 has come to an end, but the experiences, skills, and stage presence will continue to accompany the contestants on their academic and career development paths. In the future, the Faculty of Communication at Dai Nam University will continue to organize more academic and professional competitions to give students more opportunities to practice, test their abilities, and develop their practical skills.
