Associate Professor Dr. Dao Thi Thu Giang, Rector of Dai Nam University, speaking at the signing ceremony, emphasized the training orientation linked to practical applications and the needs of the labor market.
Speaking at the ceremony, Associate Professor Dr. Dao Thi Thu Giang, Rector of Dai Nam University, emphasized that the university's goal is not only to equip students with specialized knowledge but also to create opportunities for them to gain practical experience throughout their studies, thereby enhancing their professional skills and meeting the demands of the labor market.
According to the Rector of Dai Nam University, in the context of a rapidly developing society, especially under the strong impact of artificial intelligence (AI), many jobs can be supported or replaced by technology. However, values related to empathy, the ability to listen, understand, and connect with other people still play a particularly important role.
This is also why the demand for psychological counseling, consultation, and therapy professionals is increasing rapidly, opening up many opportunities for the development of the psychology field in the future.
Associate Professor Dr. Dao Thi Thu Giang believes that to become competent psychological counselors, students should not only learn from books but also need to be exposed to real-life situations and work with specific individuals to hone their skills, professional competence, and maturity in the process of practicing their profession.
Therefore, expanding cooperation with specialized units is crucial in creating a practical and experiential environment for students right from their time in university.
