Nearly 100 million VND, 4,000 books, and 370 meals with meat were given to children in Thong Nguyen, Ha Giang. After a week of fundraising, the contestants of Huong Sac Dai Nam 2026 showed that true value lies in love.

As soon as applications opened, over 200 entries were submitted to the competition organizers. After the preliminary and semi-final rounds with a comprehensive evaluation criteria system, the 20 most outstanding contestants were selected to advance to the final round.

Beyond just appearance, performance skills, or demeanor, the competition rounds are designed to be highly realistic, requiring contestants to demonstrate critical thinking, confidence, and the ability to act on social issues.

The "race" for the crown in the high mountains of Ha Giang.

In the minds of many, beauty pageants are usually about dazzling stage performances, but at Dai Nam University's beauty pageant, the "race" to the crown also involved a journey of nearly 400km to Xuan Minh Ethnic Boarding School (Ha Giang).

The 20 most outstanding contestants faced a challenge: How to successfully raise funds in just 7 days? What activities could they organize to bring smiles to the faces of children in Ha Giang?

And the results exceeded the organizers' expectations. It was thanks to the contestants' efforts in directly visiting classrooms and using their social media influence that they raised nearly 100 million VND in cash, over 4000 books, hundreds of gifts, and 370 special meals for the children.

370 special meals were provided as part of the program for the children .

Notably, some contestants independently collected over 1000 books, making a significant contribution to the 4000 children's books at the "Little Sunshine" Library, covering various genres such as storybooks, literature, and science exploration. This promises to provide a space where children here can explore the wider world.

The "Little Sun" library, with 4000 books, was built thanks to donations directly solicited by the contestants of the Miss Dai Nam pageant.

Mr. Le Dac Giang, Director of the Center for Culture and Events, Dai Nam University, and Head of the Organizing Committee, said: “The competition aims to attract young people who are knowledgeable, courageous, and especially who have a loving heart and know how to act for the community. The journey of compassion in Ha Giang is one of the clearest ways to verify that.”

The beauty of female students at Dai Nam University in the modern era.

In Thong Nguyen, Ha Giang, the image of beautiful "muses" in photographs is no longer seen. Instead, we see simple, approachable female students organizing games for the children, rolling up their sleeves to prepare 370 "meals with meat" in the kitchen, and flipping through books with the children at the "Little Sunshine" Library.

Witnessing the scribbled handwriting in the hastily written letters or the lingering waves of the children as the convoy left the school, the contestants gained a deeper understanding of the message the competition was pursuing: "Dare to grow - Dare to love."

The contestants are international students studying at Dai Nam University, experiencing volunteering in the highlands of Vietnam for the first time.

The children's affection for the contestants of Huong Sac Dai Nam.

Contestant Nguyen Thi Khanh Huyen, a student from the Faculty of Communication, shared: “We realized that maturity isn't about being better or more outstanding than others, but about knowing how to live for others. Seeing the children eagerly anticipating meals with meat, and passionately turning the pages of their books, made me feel that all my efforts were worthwhile.”

A new definition of beauty for Generation Z.

Mr. Le Dac Giang, representing the Organizing Committee, shared: “We believe that the beauty of female students lies not only in their appearance, but also in how they live and the values they create. Today's female students at Dai Nam University represent a generation of dynamic, confident, loving, and responsible young women who contribute to the community.”

The "Beauty of Dai Nam 2026" competition skillfully transformed a beauty pageant into an educational and experiential journey. There, the most prestigious crown wasn't awarded to the person with the most beautiful face, but to the one with a compassionate heart and the courage to act for the greater good.

After memorable and proud experiences in Ha Giang, 20 contestants will advance to the Grand Finale of the "Huong Sac Dai Nam" competition on April 22nd. With meticulous planning in terms of scale and artistry, the final night will mark the transformation of these young women after a long journey of learning and challenges in the competition.

With the message "Dare to Grow - Dare to Love," the competition demonstrates a new approach in student activities: By striving for daily growth, you can gain the courage to love and spread values to the community. That is when your beauty shines brightest and becomes most meaningful."

Let's wait and see who will represent the generation of female students at Dai Nam University: dynamic, confident, and full of compassion.
